Blisters are a fact of life for everyone, no matter how careful they are with their footwear. Most people complain that blisters result from the “breaking in” period for a new pair of shoes. The fact is, though, that shoes should never require a breaking in period. If you tend to experience blisters every time you purchase a new pair of shoes, a podiatrist can help you by comprehensively examining your feet, as well as the way in which you walk, and teach you how to select the shoes that are best for you. Chronic blistering can also result from foot deformities, most of which can be corrected through podiatric surgery.
